How it all started.
The MasterClamp™ framing clamp was invented in 1994 by Avi Gombinsky, who recognized the need for a better method to join wooden picture frames, and developed the MasterClamp as a solution. After years of research and development, we refined it into the ultimate tool for joining wooden picture frames of all types and sizes, including shadow box moldings, floaters, tall moldings, and standard frames. We soon discovered that the new MasterClamp allowed us to complete our customers' projects with higher quality while significantly reducing both time and costs. Thanks to similar experiences shared by our industry colleagues, MasterClamp Tools Co. now manufactures the MasterClamp V5 series for professional framers in the US and worldwide.
About MasterClamp
MasterClamp is a specialized framing clamp designed to join picture frames with glue under high pressure, ensuring tight, accurate joints. It evenly distributes glue under pressure up to 1000 psi, significantly reducing drying time to approximately 15-25 minutes. The joint created by MasterClamp is stronger and tighter than those made with any other tool on the market. MasterClamp is designed for single-handed operation, allowing the user to easily reposition miter cuts while clamping. We proudly manufacture MasterClamp in the US using CNC-machined stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminum. The finest materials were selected for durability and long service life, ensuring that the clamp maintains its shape and precision even under high-pressure conditions.
